Indian Navy Launched INS Karanj Third Scorpene Class Submarine

Indian Navy has propelled Scorpene submarine INS Karanj at the Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd (MDL), Mumbai, Maharashtra.It the third Scorpene class submarine worked by MDL under aspiring Project 75 of the Indian Navy.

The submarine has an overall length of 67.5 meters and a height of about 12.3 meters. The submarine, equipped with superior stealth features and precision-guided weapons. Its hull form, fin, and hydroplanes are specifically designed to produce minimum underwater resistance.

 Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Sunil Lanba was the chief guest on the occasion.
