1. First Kala Mela 2018 Inaugurated in New Delhi:

First Kala Mela 2018 Inaugurated by Shri M.Venkaiah Naidu, Hon’ble Vice President of India in the presence of Dr. Mahesh Sharma, Hon’ble Minister of Culture and Shri C.S. Krishna Setty, Administrator and Dr. Sachchidanand Joshi, Indira Gandhi  National Centre For Art (IGNCA). Lalit Kala Akademi, the premier institution for the promotion of Art and Culture is going to organize an International Kala Mela (Arts Festival) wherein artists and groups can showcase their artworks. The central objective of Kala Mela is to focus on the direct interaction between the artist and the connoisseur and also educating and raising awareness about art, which has been the mandate of Lalit Kala Akademi.

2. New Gas Pipeline 1500 Km Long from Guwahati to Tinsukia:

Petroleum Minister Shri Dharmender Pradhan has said that a 1500 km long gas pipeline will be placed at an estimated cost of Rs 6000 crore stretching from Guwahati to Tinsukia via Numaligarh to provide gas to Northeast states.

3. Maratha Life infantry lauds its 250yrs at Manekshaw Center:

The Maratha Light Infantry is an infantry regiment of the Indian Army.  Maratha Life infantry regiment celebrates its 250th anniversary at Manekshaw Center. 4th February is a celebrated as Maratha Life Infantry Regiment Day every year.

4. Shyam Benegal receives lifetime achievement award at MIFF:

Shyam Benegal has been awarded  V Shantaram Lifetime achievement award at the 15th Mumbai International Film Festival for Documentary, Short and Animation Films. The award brings a trophy, a citation and cash prize of Rs 10 lakh.

5. Environment Ministery launches Green Good Deed Campaign:

The union minister of environment and forest climate change has launched  Green Good Deed Campaign to sensitize people and students, in particular about climate change and global warming. It was launched by Environment Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan in New Delhi.

6. Japan Launched Mini Rocket:

Japan has launched a mini-rocket on Saturday which successfully put a microsatellite into Orbit. The JAXA stands for Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency said 5th vehicle of the SS-520 series elevated off the Uchinoura Space Center in Kagoshima Prefecture, Southwestern Japan.

7. BJP MP from Uttar Pradesh Hukum Singh died:

BJP MP from Kairana, Hukum Singh, who was suffering from breathing problems, died at JP Hospital in Noida on Saturday. Hukum Singh, who was admitted to the hospital for nearly a month,  He was 79. A seven-time MLA from UP and state ministers under both BJP and Congress governments, Singh had entered the Lok Sabha for the first time in 2014.

8. Tamil Nadu leads the medals tally in athletics in Khelo India School Games:

Khelo India School Games inaugurated by Prime minister  Shri Narendra Modi At New Delhi. Khelo India School Games are being held on from 31 January to 8th February. with the end on 3rd February in Khelo India School Games, Tamil Nadu leads the medals tally in athetics with 19 medals in which 5 gold medal and 8 silver. second leads of Kerala with 17 medals, the third lead of Uttar Pradesh with 16 medals. Timo Meier Womens Jersey
