Shri J P Nadda, Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare launched the National Deworming Day on 10th February at a function at Gurugram. The government of India is committed to ensuring high-quality healthcare, accessible to every child and up to the last mile. One of the interventions, the National Deworming Day, is one of the largest public health initiatives in the world. The Union Minister declared that after making India polio-free the target is to make India worm free by deworming all pre-school and school age children between the ages of 1 to 19 years.

  • The current production of this field is about 400,000 barrels of oil per day (20 million tonnes per annum) and Indian consortium’s annual share shall be about 2 million tonnes.
