1. Arunachal Pradesh CM lays foundation stone of Rhodendron park in Tawang:

Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu laid the foundation stone of a Rhodendron Park in Tawang district – February 6th.

The park would be built in a total area of 1.15 hectares and would be partly funded under border area development programme (BADP). More than 30 species of Rhododendrons would be planted and conserved in the park where terrace cutting would also be done to raise the beauty and scenic component.

2. India’s first chat based job app ‘Empzilla’ launched.

3. RBI to link base rate with MCLR.

Reserve Bank of India will link the bank base rates with the so-called marginal cost of funds based lending rate (MCLR) system to ensure that all bank loans effectively reflect the changes in the policy rates.

The new MCLR regime was implemented in the fiscal year starting April 2016. It applies to all new borrowers and is closely linked to bank deposits rates. All new floating rate loans are now linked to MCLR. 

4.RBI set up Ombudsman for NBFC’s;

The Reserve Bank of India announced setting up the ombudsman for addressing customer grievances in the non-banking finance companies. The rules will be laid out by the end of February 2018. RBI will begin with deposit-taking NBFCs and augment the degree to cover NBFCs with resource size of Rs 100 crore. There are around 20 managing account ombudsmen have been delegated with workplaces for the most part in state capitals.

5. Rear Admiral Mukul Asthana appointed as Assistant Chief of Naval Staff (Air).

Rear Admiral Mukul Asthana, has been appointed as the Assistant Chief of Naval Staff (Air) at New Delhi. He was commissioned in 1986 in the Executive Branch of the Indian Navy. He is a recipient of the prestigious Nausena Medal. 7. NHAI to start ‘pay as you use’ pilot project on Delhi-Mumbai National Highways.

National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) will start a pilot project “pay as you use” on the Delhi-Mumbai Highway to study and implement the ability of the system in the country.

The project to be run for one year involves implementing a satellite-based electronic toll collection system running on GPS/GSM technology for around 500 commercial vehicles on the Delhi-Mumbai National Highway.
